Estimated Hiking Time: 3.0 hours (one way)

The Avalanche Crest Trail Hike in Glacier National Park has great views of the original CPR railway line, The trailhead is located behind the Illecillewaet campground on the east side of the Illecillewaet River just west of the Rogers Pass summit. This is the same trailhead as for The Abbott Trail and the Asulkan Valley Trail.
